Westons Birthday

Last week we had Weston's birthday party. It was so much fun. We did a combine party with his friend Garett and we did a super hero birthday party. We had the "super hero trainees" go thru an obstacle course where they had to "fly" (aka jump) over buildings, lift a 100 pound weight (made of sytrofoam) and crawl thru a tunnel and rescue a dog. We had them pin the logo on to the super hero and throw water balloons at a "villain" (aka Joe) and do a pinata. We also made capes for them with their first initial on the back. They had a ton of fun and looked awesome. Here are some pics:

Listening to Garetts mom talk about how we need to fight the villain and to make him leave our party.

And last of all but not least at all.. (probably Weston's favorite part) - getting cake!

Weston's Surgery

Weston had surgery a couple weeks ago on his thumb. A while back he fell off a stool in the kitchen and hurt his thumb. We went to the urgent care that night because we thought he had dislocated his thumb. Come to find out after an x-ray that he had a thing called trigger thumb. It could have been there since birth or not, but it caused that his thumb could not straighten all the way. So he had to get surgery in which they had to put him under and cut his thumb and cut a pullee. It wasn't a super intense surgery but the fact that they had to put him under scared me. Especially since he is scared of a lot of things. He actually did really well and the nurses and doctors were great. He didn't even cry which the nurse says that 95% of the patients do.
Here is weston in his gown watching tv while we were waiting to go in:

After the surgery... to put him asleep they told him how he had to blow up a balloon and after surgery he wanted his balloon that he blew up, so they blew up a glove and he wanted to hold it. He was such a good sport. Here he is recovery and coming out of his sleepiness.

So he kept his cast on his hand for 10 days and the next day we went up to the gateway in which there are water fountains, well Weston was playing in there since he could get his hand wet and slipped and fell. He chipped his front tooth really bad and so below is the picture of his tooth... (POOR KID)

Summer Fun

Well life has been lots of fun especially since it is finally warm outside. We are loving our little girl that is now able to roll over and sit up by herself for at least a little bit.

Everyone wanted to be under Kennedi's play thing

Our lioness (Joe's favorite thing is always put shirts or shorts or dresses over the kids heads because it just looks so funny. This was a tutu dress and so the extra ruffles made a beautiful mane)

We went to Lake Powell a week or two ago. They days are all starting to run together. Here are some pictures:
Joe and Weston on the tubes. He actually loved tubing. I was impressed since he is a scardy cat but I think it is because he didn't have to get in the water.

Weston driving the house boat

Weston trying the knee board behind the boat. He didn't really want to do it but we thought he should at least try it.

This is him after the first attempt. He would not let go of the rope even after he fell off the knee board. He basically was dragged under the water the whole time. I felt so bad for him.

Where does the time go?

Well I have been looking at my blog and realized that I haven't posted for quiet some time. Where does the time go? My baby is now 4 months old and can not believe that these 4 months seem to have flown by so fast. I have been truly enjoying my little girl and so grateful for her sweet spirit. I wonder what she will be like when she gets older? She is so calm and hardly cries unless she is tired or her brother hurts her (which is often). She is very easy going and wonder if she will keep that disposition when she gets older. She has been sleeping through the night since 2 months and so feel like I have been able to enjoy her more than I did when Weston was a baby because I actually get some sleep. We went down to California for Spring Break which was nice to get out of the fickle weather here. I flew back on an airplane for the first time by myself with 2 kids, which actually was fine since the airplane wasn't full and Kennedi slept the whole time.
I have also been able to finally finish Weston's bedroom and I really do love it. My wonderful husband helped to bring a lot of my ideas to life. He built me picture frames and then helped me to screw the liscense plates on the frames. Well here are some pictures...

Everyone thinks Weston is such a good kid until they get to know him and realize he is a handful. Since quiting my job - I have been spending lots of time with him and sometimes I wish I can go back to my job so that I dont have to keep him out of trouble. He is so crazy and has so much energy and he never stops. He is also a monkey - always climbing, jumping and hanging off things. (Here is him in our closet)

My Life As of Now

Well life has been a little crazy and I have to admit that I have been in survival mode for the last couple weeks. For the last 3 weeks we have been to the doctor once a week. Weston and Kennedi have been way sick. Two weeks ago, Weston woke up in the middle of the night barely breathing and crying. I thought that he had swallowed something. We went to the doctor and found out he had croup. We tried to keep Kennedi and Weston seperate but didn't work well and so now Kennedi is sick. In which we went to the doctor today for her to be tested for RSV and other things and also found out she has an ear infection. So pretty much we have been stuck at home since no one can come play since we are sick. But I feel like the end of their sickness is coming soon. I am sure ready for warm weather and to be outside. Kennedi has been a pretty good baby and loves to look around. She does like to be held and likes to sleep a lot. I started up piano lessons last week and so trying to juggle the two kids while teaching 18 students (not all at the same time). I also have been having a really hard time taking pictures of Kennedi, so I tried to make more of an effort the last week and so here are some pictures.

Weston and Daddy building a cabinet for our bathroom. Joe has been gone a lot with work and so it was some much needed daddy-son time... (notice the safety glasses)

Weston in his bedroom showing off his new pajamas. He is getting so big he is starting to wear 3T clothes. Yikes!

Weston and Kennedi in their jammies. He loves being a big brother and loves give kisses to Kennedi even though we dont always want him to.

She has arrived!!

Well she has finally arrived. Tuesday night I checked into the hospital around 11:30 pm. When I checked in I was only at a 2 and they were hesitate to check me in but told me to hang out for an hour to see the progress. Well no real progress was made in that hour but my contractions were getting harder and I thought well they better have a good plan to get me out of this bed because I am not going anywhere. In the next hour I moved from a 2 to a 5. And then progressed even faster than that. She was born at 4:50 AM so needless to say we didn't get any sleep. So only 5 hours of real labor. She weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces (a lot different from Weston who was 9 pounds). We named her Kennedi Cherie. Here are some pictures...

Just waiting

Well I decided that I should maybe update the blog since a month has already gone by. We are just patiently (or I should say trying to be patient) waiting for our little girl to arrive. It is crazy that I am due tomorrow and yet I am so ready to be done.
So other things we have been up to is Joe is heavy into his basketball team. I feel like he is never home but he loves coaching the 9th grade team so I try not to complain. Weston is busy like normal and I have been busy at teaching piano lessons, working at Intermountain Health Care and taking care of a 2 year old. There never seems enough time in the day to get things done.

Some Christmas pics...

Looking thru his stocking - all he wanted for christmas was candy and a train set. He was super excited about the candy more than anything else. (By the way I made the stocking - aren't I talented :))

Weston being Joseph and his coursin Kaylee being Mary and Joe was the donkey - who knows why "Joseph" got to ride the donkey too. Maybe cause he is two.

Such a cute Joseph - and yet he didn't want to keep his costume on

Weston riding a pretend horse at the Discovery Gateway. They even had a cowboy hat he could wear while riding it. He is such a stud (Can you tell I like this kid?)
