Weston's Birthday

By the morning we were all in the same bed
For Westons birthday we just decided to not have a friend birthday and do stuff with our little family. We deciding to go camping and borrow my brother's four wheeler. It was fun except that I didn't sleep at all. I for some reason never sleep while we camp - maybe because I am always freezing. For his birthday we got Weston a power wheel jeep. We found a great deal on KSL - he loves it! Can't believe he is 4 years old

Duo Challenge

In August Joe and I did the Duo Challenge with his brother Mike and his wife Mandy. It was so much fun and yet have never gotten that dirty in my life. It was a 5 mile race with lots of muddy obstacles. We had to crawl through mud, climb walls, go down giant tubes into a mud bath at the bottom. But we had a blast and were glad to get clean after all the mud. I literally threw my shoes away because they were so bad.

More Summer Fun - CALIFORNIA

We also went down to California for some more fun.  It was awesome to see all of my family.  We moved around a log. Staying at my sisters, going to Big Bear for a couple of days, camped at the beach, and stayed at my parents house.

I hate driving to California - I think I hate it more than my kids hate it. I usually make my husband get up super early so that we can leave at like 5 am so that we can have the kids sleep. Then we stop in Vegas for a couple hours to give everyone a break. This time we decided to go to the Reef at Mandalay Bay. It was pretty cool but not worth the cost. I loved the jelly fish.
Us in the sunken ship in the shark tank. There were tons of sharksAt
At Big Bear we did the Alpine slides. The kids loved it. We went with my brother Mike's family and my sister Shelly's family and my parents

Playing ping pong at my parents house with Grandma. The kids loved playing even though the ball never went back and forth very much.
So we were at the beach and Kennedi decided that she wanted to throw her body on the sand and lay down then after laying for a while she rolled in the sand and was covered.

Zoo and Yellowstone with the Karlsvens

We started the summer out by first going to the zoo with the Karlsven family. It was fun to see the polar bears and the other animals. Then in July we went to Yellowstone to go see old faithful and go four wheeling and just hang out at the cabin.

When we were getting ready to go to the zoo - Joe and I were upstairs getting things ready and when we came down this is what we found. The whole downstairs covered in goldfish and Weston said he was just packing them a snack for the zoo. Hillarious!

We love measuring us to how we compare to the apes....
The whole clan on the train ride. The best part of the zoo in my book
Old Faithful - we spent a long time waiting for this to go off

We couldn't believe how close we could get to the buffalo

Kenz thought she should be in charge of getting her on smores...
 (like her hair?)

This is why I became a mother

Being a mom isn’t easy. I feel like some days I have had it and just cannot be with them for another second and yet at the end of the day when my children are sleeping in their beds is where I get that heavenly joy. Each night as I check on them and see their little bodies – still and peacefully sleeping my heart melts. This is why I became a mother. I am so grateful for my children.

Catching Up

Well a lot of things have happened in the last four months. How fast the time flies by. Here are a few highlights with a few pictures attached. In February we went down to California to spend some time with my family. We went to the beach, swam in the pool tons and even got a trip to the spa with my sisters and mom.
Kennedi and Weston watching a show.. Kennedi never sits still for anything so had to take the picture.
Weston and his friend Jackson decide to find some broken tile in the street and scratch up our neighbors car. I could not believe he would even think to do that. He is trying to earn money now to pay for the damage that he did.

Weston graduated from his first year of preschool - two more years to go before kindergarten.
Joe showing his cool moves at this gymnastic place we went to. We would have taken pictures of my cool tricks but Joe wasn't fast enough to get them on camera.

Kenz playing in the foam pit - she loved it!
Her awesome messy face - I love this girl!

In February they had a free day at the Tracy Aviary. It was so fun. A little cold but still cool to see all the birds.
 Weston finding his Easter basket.
Kennedi loving her chocolate bunny - had to hide it after a while before she devoured the whole thing.
Joe celebrated his 31st birthday. This was our first time just doing the cake with just us. Kind-of nice to do a small crowd.
Joe and I went last weekend to Zions National Park for our anniversary getaway. We had a blast hiking. It was nice to sleep in and have some time for just us.
Pictures from California: We went whale watching. Unfortunately we didn't see any whales but did see a ton of dolphins - even baby dolphins which was awesome.
