Weston's First Swim

We took Weston for his first swim the other day. I have been wanting to take him for a while but just have never gotten around to it. He didn't really cry but wasn't super excited about it. Just kind-of was there. He hated it when we got his whole head wet or slightly dunked him. We didn't have a life jacket on the whole time. Joe wanted him to have one on so it would be easier for us. We went to the Dimble Dell pool and they have like slides and toys in the water. It was really fun.

On his back, learning how to float.

Hanging out with daddy.

Part I Paris

So we decided to spend some of our hard earned money and go to England to see my parents. Well since we were going so far, we stopped in Paris first. We left Weston with Joe's family and were gone for 8 days (two of those days were just travel). I have learned several things from this trip: I hate long flights (in a 24 hr period - I slept 2 hours); try not to eat anything off the street (they dont cook their food and it is left on the counter all day long); and ask before buying something we ended up spending 20 euros on 3 pastries! But in all we had a lot of fun. Here is some pictures from Paris.

Us in front of the Eifel Tower. It was cool to actually be there.

We went to the Louvre and saw some cool stuff. Joe trying to do the Egyptian walk.

We took a river cruise done the Siene which was awesome but I was freezing!!

Us eating French food on the street. The restaurants were so fun because they are right on the street.

The Arch de Triumph. Pretty cool.

Part II England

Well for the rest of the time we were in England. We spent one day in London and the rest with my parents in Leed in which they drove us around to several different places.

Here is the Castle Alnwick which is somewhat near Leeds. This area (I believe) is where they filmed Harry Potter's games.

This is the famous bridge in London. We even walked acrossed it.

This is at Chastworth house near Leeds. This waterfall thing was in their background. It was super cool but cold. Joe was a wimp and wouldn't try it out.

My parents and I admiring the view from the castle.

We even did some archery. I actually did ok and hit the target.

I wanted to frolic with the sheep.

Doesn't really need a description

Us trying mushy peas.

Our BIG little boy

Our little boy is getting so big. He is started to move more. Rolling all over the place and trying to get it to things. He is truly the center of our life.

Weston has a weird head...it is too big for baby hats but yet to small for the next step up and so he is a in betweener. So needless to say his hat didn't stay forward like it is suppose to be but couldn't resist taking a picture of him.

Weston's First Trip to the Zoo

So Weston and I went to the zoo on Friday and we had a blast, at least I did. Weston could cares less about the animals (the ones that hardly moved anyways). He loved the bird show and got super excited. It was still fun to go see it with some friends and to just get out

He kind of looks like a monkey with his big cheeks

Tribute to my husband

Since it is Joe's birthday on Friday, I thought I would do a tribute to him. He is turning the big 28! I am so grateful for him and glad that he is my husband. I love his patient calm nature and how he supports me in everything I do. I am glad that he loves to do things and wants to go on trips as much as I do. Here are some of the qualities that I love...

I love that he is a great father. He loves Weston and a lot of times tries to match Weston with his clothes.

He is out going and super active.

He keeps me laughing

He is a hard worker (even when it is cutting down a tree branch with a hand saw instead of an electric saw)

He is creative and super attractive!

And finally because he loves me!

Update

Joe had a couple days off for Spring Break which was nice. We went snowboarding last Friday in which I learned how to carve. I did fall several times and so was very sore the next day. We also got some sun burns from the beautiful day. It was fun to do Easter with our little boy, even though he didn't know what was really going on. He did get an Easter basket in which he ate the basket and the eggs inside. Weston has been eating baby food for a while now and is eating like a champ. He is pounding the food done, I think he gained a pound in one week!
So Joe and I took Weston today to get some professional pictures done. Wow, how can you like almost every picture...maybe we just have a really cute kid :) Here are some of the pictures...

Weston's typical pose is his thumb in his mouth.
