Catch Up

Well it has been a while since I posted and i don't have any pictures to post right now. Weston got on our laptop and somehow by hitting certain buttons cleared the whole memory of the laptop. Pictures, programs, everything. So our computer wont even turn on. Joe and I both have work laptops so isn't too much of problem but we are afraid we have lost all of our pictures. We have been just working and hanging out and trying to do as much fun as we can fit in. Weston is starting to get into more things and cause more mischief. He has colored on a wall, windows, and our kitchen table. And this is all with me supposedly watching him. I heard boys cause a lot of mischief, now I know first hand. I will post pictures soon.

Give me some Weston

So the other day it snowed really crazy in the morning and by the afternoon the snow had melted and it was sunny. I think this is probably one of my favorite weather days. I do like the snow but by the afternoon I am ready for it to be done so we can play outside. Well since the snow had melted so much the drains were just pouring out water. Weston decided to play in them and of course i had to let him even if that meant I had to change all of his clothes since they were soaked in ice water and covered in mud.

Here is the start of him soaking himself:

This last weekend we went up to Salt Lake to go to the planetarium. Weston had a lot of fun. He was fascinated with this:

Weston walking on Mars.

The best part of this picture is that I didn't even ask him to sit down or pose. He saw someone else do it and so had to do it too. So funny. I love this kid.

Busy,Busy, Busy

Well life for us have been super busy. And I wouldn't have it any other way. I love being busy especially since it is cold outside and so can't really do much outside yet. Since Christmas I have started teaching piano. I only have two students but am hoping by the end of this year I will get some more. I love it and love owning my own piano. I am also still working 40 hours a week at Intermountain Health Care. I love being able to play with my big little boy. He is growing up so fast. Joe also has been busy because of basketball season which is over now. (I am glad to have my husband back). He coaches basketball for the 9th grade team at Eastmont. His team went to the semi finals. Joe also picked up another job as a referee to help bring in some more money. It is good because he gets some more exercise since he has to run back and forth on the gym. Weston is almost 18 months. He started nursery a little earlier since Joe and I are both in Primary. Joe teaches the 10 and 11 yearold boys and I have the sunbeams (3-4 year olds). Weston loves nursery. He is getting into everything. He is also talking a lot more and understanding a lot more what we are saying. He loves to help around the house. He even helps set the table. In February Joe and I took a week vacation to Cabo Mexico. It was nice to have some time to ourselves but I sure missed my buddy. We went kayaking, snorkeling, did the ziplines (AWESOME), pairsaling and relaxing. Our hotel was nice and right up on the beach. We loved being in the sun but was glad to be back with Weston. Here are some pictures (I got tired of taking pictures the past couple of months)

Weston loves to take everything out of his bottom drawer and climb in. Then he wants everything back in the drawer with him. He is so funny.

Picture of our hotel from our balcony. We would eat breakfast every morning on our balcony and it was just so beautiful. While in Mexico we bought food from the grocery store to cook at our hotel and lived off sandwiches and cereal for breakfast and lunch. We are super cheap when it comes to food when we travel.

We kayaked to lover beach. This is where we are standing.

In front of me is a whole bunch of sea lions. This was right around the lover beach. It is on the tip of the pennisula.

Here is us parasailing. It was so much. I am little scared of heights so I thought I would be scared, no way it was awesome.

Weston in Joe's church clothes.

Here is Joe's basketball team

For school they did a fundraiser and Joe promised the kid that if they earned so much money he would do things for them. One of them was where all Ute clothes (which he is a big BYU fan and so that was horrible for him to wear all that red). Another one was he would cut his hair in a mowhawk. It only lasted for a day because I hated it.

Christmas

It has been pretty cold up in Utah. We got Weston a snow outfit for Christmas but gave it to him early since he has been dying to go outside. He loves to be outside, just as much as his mom.

Weston in his snow pants. Dont you love the bubble butt.

Weston and I's foot prints.

Christmas morning was fun being by ourselves. Weston was sick on Christmas Eve with a temperature of 104 and by Christmas he still wasn't feeling to great. He did love the wagon that Santa brought him.

Joe got a big screen tv for Christmas and I got my beautiful piano. I started teaching piano lesson in January and so far it is going good. Here is my first student.

Christmas Card

(I am going to officially make my blog private by January 1, just wanting to make I get most everyone)

So I was going to send out Christmas cards again this year. Then after writing the list of who I was going to send it to and calculating how much that will cost. I decided to save my money and do it the lazy way by doing a post. So here is what it was going to say (most of it you already know if you have been reading our blog)...

TOP 5 of 2009
1. Buying a house - We were finally able to buy a house after several years of saving our money. We love it and love the space. Our neighbors are very friendly and like being in charge of our own stuff.
2. Weston - We love this kid. He is doing more and more stuff. He is really into climbing lately and will flip over laundry baskets and climb on them as well as anything else he can find. He is talking more. He says a lot of words like "hi", "mama", "dada", "night-night", "bye", "dog", etc. He does say more but we dont know if he is really saying that or if that is what we want to believe he is saying. He is so funny and we are loving watching him grow up.
3. Europe Trip - Going to England and Paris in May was one of the highlights of the year. I have wanted to go to Europe for a long time and glad that dream came true. We will have to go back to some other countries and cities because we didn't have enough time to see everything we wanted. It was also great to see my parents since it had been about 9 months.
4. Marathon - I have completed my very first marathon. It has been goal for a long time and I now can say that I did it. I never could have imagined that I would run 26.2 miles but I did. I ran through 3 states (Utah, Arizona and Nevada).
5. Chicken Dance on the Big Screen - We attended our very first REAL soccer game in which Joe got onto the Jumbo screen. He also won the best chicken dancer (to the chicken song). This guy wins everything, I just hope his luck never runs out.

Have a great Christmas this year!!
Love: Joe, Megan and Weston

October Festivities

October was a lot of fun. We made sure to do some of the fun things to celebrate Halloween. We went to Cornbellys in the middle of the month. It has been a tradition for us for the last 4 years.

Me and weston going down the slide.

Us and some friends jumping on the "giant pillow". It was a little difficult to take the picture since we were bouncing so much.

Weston and Millie racing on the peddle carts.

Halloween night. Joe is where's waldo and I am his girlfriend Where's Wanda and then Weston is a dragon. This was his first year trick or treating. He was so funny. He would just get a piece of candy and hold on to for hours.

Where's waldo?

Our little dragon trick or treating with some of our friends. He was so patient to wait his turn to get the candy. Sadly he didn't get much candy since he doesn't have teeth really yet to eat the candy. He does have teeth coming though.
