Weston Paul

Our baby decided to finally make his entrance to the world on Wednesday September 17th. We arrived at the hospital at 7 am and 5 hours later he was just about to come to this world. Things got a little scary when his heart rate kept dropping to 60 beats per minute in when it is suppose to be at 120. After trying to push him out fast the doctor decided that it was too risky and so I was rushed into the operation room to do an emergency c section. Within 15 minutes Weston Paul was born. He weighed 9 pounds and 22 inches long. He is doing great.

Family Time

Last weekend my parents and my sister Shelly came up for the weekend for my cousin's wedding. It was a lot of fun to have them up and hang out. We got to go to the Salt Lake Bees baseball game in which we got really good seats and were only 6 rows from third base. It was fun to have my sister here without her kids.
My brother Matt and my sister Shelly... Matt showing his Angles pride (the Bees are the Angels feeder team)
Joe was so excited to see the Bee mascot... Bumble (we think that is his name)

Here is the picture of my belly at the wedding... it is getting bigger. Only 1 month left!
We always see those pictures where they do that loving pose... well we try to do one, but I was pretty much just laughing the whole time.

Need New Recipes!!

Well I am hoping that everyone that comes across our blog can send me or post in the comments their favorite recipes. I feel like we eat the same thing every week and so need some new recipes that are good. I have a hard time just picking out a random recipe out of a recipe book and not knowing if it will really taste good. If you can not fit in on my blog, you can send it to my email. Thanks!

Fourth of July

So Joe and I decided to spend fourth of July differently. Joe went to Havasupai in which he had to hike down 11 miles to get to beautiful greenery and waterfalls. Since I could not do the hike because I was 6 1/2 months pregnant I stayed home in which my niece, Brooke, came up to visit. Brooke and I went up to Bear Lake with my sister-n-law, Letty, and went four wheeling, played in the water and just camped. It was fun but I was glad to see my bed after sleeping in a tent for a night.

I am hoping that we can go to Havasupi next year, because I think it is beautiful and really was bummed that I didn't get to go this year.

Here are some pictures of our weekend....

Joe jumping off a waterfall that was about 60 feet high.

This is us after four wheeling. We were covered in dirt and looked pretty disgusting!!

Our Trip to New York and DC

Well, we just got back from our trip to New York and DC, which was pretty fun. It was very hot and humid which required us to drink lots of water to keep hydrated. This in turn caused me to find a bathroom every hour pretty much. We experienced some of our firsts. We decided to take a late flight in JFK and then drive the 4 to 5 hours to DC where Joe drove the whole night. Then we slept in our car (very uncomfortable) because I was too cheap to stay in a hotel. Lets just say by the next night we were out by 7:30pm!! We went to a lot of the monuments and some museums. I experienced in New York my first time the subway and that was an experience all by itself. One day we were just waiting for our train to arrive and this guy just gets up and starts this chant or prayer thing in Spanish and it didn't just go for like a minute. This guy went on for like 5 minutes. In New York we went to Phantom of the Opera and did some shopping and saw a few site. We did a lot of walking this trip, but we had a good time.

New York Pictures

Us in Toys R Us which was so big, they put a ferris wheel inside it!
Joe looking a little scared about the big dinosaur. I dont think he knew it was fake.

Us at the statue of liberty in which we climbed 154 steps or something like that. But waited 45 minutes to do.
Joe in Toys-R-Us with T-rex which was way cool. It moved and made noises...if I was a kid I would be scared.

DC pictures

We went paddle boating around the Jefferson Monument which was a lot of fun, but a lot harder than last time I went maybe because my belly was in the way which made it harder to paddle.
Here is Joe drinking water at the Washington Monument. We had to stay hydrated!

Here is us at Lincoln statue (now remember we had not even showered this morning, because we had slept in the car, that is why we look so good). We did brush our teeth and wash our face in an IHOP bathroom.
